Accessories by Shingei are crafted using our original technique, closely replicating the authentic structure of neon signs from Chinese-speaking regions. (Patent pending)

To authentically evoke the style of neon signs prevalent in Asian regions (especially Hong Kong), it's essential to recreate neon tubes that appear suspended at a distance from their colored backing. These accessories feature a floating effect within acrylic, replicating the distinct distance between the colored backing and the glowing elements. Since they're crafted from acrylic, the characters glow when light enters from the sides, creating reflections.

This reproduces the unique layered effect you see when looking at actual neon signs from an angle, and also incorporates the distinctive feature of the colored background itself not emitting light.

Additionally, a blurred effect is intentionally applied to the background. Real floating neon characters produce natural blur, something the glowing acrylic alone can't replicate, thus this effect was added for authenticity.
